How to be more efficient while studying

Efficiency gives rise to persistence which leads to consistence and that automatically brings self-discipline. While working one should always try to be efficient in his work.


  1. Working 8 hours a day is not important if the same amount of work you can do in 5 hours.

  2. Quality matters, not quantity- when you're working do it like that's the only thing you've left in your life

  3. While working take frequent breaks because when you're constantly cramming information in your brain and not giving time to process the information, most of it won't stay in your brain, if you don't give your brain enough time to process and store that information.

  4. Involve yourself in activities other than working because when you're out of your space of working and doing some other tasks, your brain gets time to wander into the past, present or future. It eventually finds the solution to the problems in which you're stuck.

  5. Earn your mornings- Your first 3 hours will make or break you.

    1. Mornings are super-productive, don't distract yourself in the first 3 hours of your day after waking by phone or something else. Start your day with your work. Take 30-45 min to refresh yourself before work, and go to work straight away. You'll notice that for 3-5 hours you can work constantly with extreme focus.

    2. Remember to keep your phone away, don't check them in the first 3 hours of your day.

    3. 30 grams of protein is important after 30 mins of waking up, that gives you extreme energy to focus. After working for 3-5 hours, you can do other sorts of activities like bathing, eating or exercising(this is a personal preference). Then again you'll have your energy to do another sitting of 4.5 hours and then you're done for the day.

  6. Keep a connection of Mind-Body- This can be done with the help of physical activities like playing, exercising or jogging. Because your brain is also a part of your body, so when you're fit your brain tends to even work more.

  7. Take a good sleep because the productivity of your next day also depends upon your quality of sleep.

  8. Psychologically detach and play- When you're off from work, focus on other activities that you're supposed to do. Not on what you'll be doing when you work. This relaxes your body and brain.

Hope you'll find the above mentioned tips practical. Things won't start working until you apply them in your life. Productivity is all willingness and efficiency and discipline acts as a catalyst in making your work more efficient. Each one of us should strive to become more and more self-disciplined.
